n many situations the cykle time is to less to cover all operations with one robot. Typical additional operation like feeding inserts, assembly and quality testing can be done with additional robots that are controlled from the main robot. With the WIPS platform of control systems its possible to control up to 6 additional servo motions.

For multi component applications with vertical injection units the configuration of the robot can be solved in two ways. One solution is to place the robot along the IMM (lengthwise application) or place the robot above the moving platen on separate support legs.

Also for moulding of technical parts its more common to make insert moulding.
