At Wemo, the job is about more than just assembling robots – here, you get to grow, be challenged, and be part of an engaged team. Team leader Carl Klasson shares why he enjoys working here.
Carl Klasson
Carl started at Wemo in 2017 as a robot assembler. What attracted him was the dynamic work environment – building robots by hand based on customer needs and testing different solutions made every day unique. Over time, he got the chance to work with more customized automation solutions, meaning he wasn’t just assembling but also developing and testing new technologies. Today, he is a team leader, responsible for optimizing workflows and creating the best conditions for his team.
Culture and team spirit – a workplace with an open atmosphere
Wemo is a workplace with an open atmosphere and great opportunities to adjust working hours to personal needs. Carl describes how flexible hours allow him to cycle to work and plan his day – in his case, he appreciates being able to fit in a run during lunch.
But the best part of the job? The colleagues!
“It’s a great team, and we constantly work together to improve and develop our processes,” he says.
Safety and the work environment are also crucial. At Wemo, it’s not about working fast – it’s about working correctly. With access to forklifts and overhead cranes, Carl and his colleagues avoid heavy lifting. The workplace is designed with care to ensure people can sustain their careers for a lifetime.
Learning and career opportunities
Working at Wemo means continuous learning. Carl has tried milling and received training in robot programming. Additionally, he recently completed a 10-week leadership course alongside participants from 15 different companies, which was an eye-opener both professionally and personally.
Collaboration, projects, and teamwork
One of Carl’s most memorable tasks was a project in Germany, where multiple robots had to work together in a complex production solution.
“It was a tight deadline and many people were involved, but everyone knew their role, and we solved it together,” he recalls.
