Activating OPC UA in Wemo systems
To use OPC UA in a Wemo robot, an interface module is required to connect the robot to the factory network. This is typically pre-configured before delivery, but if needed, you can set the desired IP address via the operator panel. This means no service technician is required on-site to activate the function.

With OPC UA activated in Wemo’s automation solution, you gain access to detailed production data. Traditionally, companies have installed additional equipment to collect data on availability and downtime. With OPC UA, this becomes much easier and more detailed. The technology enables you to:
- Monitor active programs and cycle times
- Receive alarms and status messages in clear text
- Track user logins and changes made
- Manage program changes without an on-site operator
