Life in the warehouse – Meet Emil at Wemo

At Wemo, the warehouse is an important part of the flow – this is where components are received, packed for delivery, and sent out to customers all over the world. But what does it actually mean to work in the warehouse? We spoke to Emil, one of our warehouse employees, to hear more about his everyday life, why he enjoys his job so much, and what makes Wemo such a fantastic place to work.

“The best job I've ever had”

Emil is 37 years old, lives with his partner and two children, and has worked at Wemo for five years. For him, there is no doubt that he has found the right place:

“I love going to work every day. This is the best workplace I've ever had! We have freedom with responsibility, and no two days are the same.”

Working in the warehouse means that he and his team handle incoming goods, pack projects, and deliver customer orders. A typical day can include everything from handling small spare parts to packing large automation projects—and it's precisely this variety that makes him so happy:

“The best thing about working in the warehouse is that the work is so varied. One moment we're packing a large order, the next we're helping production with materials. There's always something going on!”

Team spirit and job satisfaction

One of the things Emil appreciates most is the work community. Wemo is an open and safe workplace where everyone helps and supports each other:

“I really appreciate the workplace and my fantastic colleagues. It's a great team that makes work fun every day.”

Emil is proud to be part of the smooth logistics that ensure customers receive their orders on time:

“I feel extra proud when we see that we are able to deliver both small and large projects. We are an important part of the chain!”

Structure, coffee, and a good start to the day

To keep up the pace in the warehouse, order and tidiness are a given:

“I like structure. Simplicity is what works best!”

And what would a working day be without coffee? For Emil, there's no question about it:

“The drink of life is obviously coffee, and I drink a lot of it!” ☕

But the most important thing for him is to start the day with the right attitude:

“I always wake up with a smile on my face. It's a wonderful feeling to go to work!”
