What makes a partnership last over time?
For almost 15 years, Thiele&Kor and Wemo have worked together on automation solutions across the Benelux region. The key? Quality, trust and a shared understanding of what customers need.

PARTNER SPOTLIGHT THIELE&KOR PLASTICS MACHINERY
Thiele&Kor Plastics Machinery was founded in 2011 by Jan Eiko Kor and Riekus Thiele. From its base in Nieuwegein in the Netherlands, the company has developed into a specialist supplier of machinery and automation solutions for the plastics processing industry.
Its offering includes new and used machinery and equipment as well as complete turnkey solutions. But Thiele&Kor’s role in the Benelux market goes beyond supplying technology. The company aims to be a partner to manufacturers looking to streamline their processes and achieve stable, reliable production.
A partnership from the start
Wemo and Thiele&Kor began working together during the company’s first year, when Wemo was looking for a partner in the Benelux region. For Jan Eiko Kor, co-owner and Chief Sales Officer at Thiele&Kor, Wemo’s technical expertise and commitment to quality were key factors.
“Wemo had a strong reputation, extensive technical expertise and solutions with a proven track record. The fact that Wemo is also a European brand with high standards of quality and reliability was important to both us and our customers.”
Over the years, the relationship between the two companies has become an equally important part of the partnership.
“Wemo’s systems are intuitive, well engineered and consistently perform at a high level. We also value the support and the fact that we share a similar way of working. We keep our promises, and the partnership is built on trust and mutual respect.”
New demands on automation
Labour shortages and rising production costs mean Thiele&Kor’s customers need to improve efficiency while ensuring that production can adapt to different products and changing requirements.
“Flexibility has become absolutely essential. Automation must be able to adapt quickly to different products and production requirements.”
A clear example is mould changes in injection moulding production. When a mould is changed, the automation around the process must also be quickly reconfigured without causing unnecessary production downtime.
“Changeovers need to be smooth without disrupting the rest of the process. The system must be flexible while remaining intuitive for the operator.”
The combination of flexibility, ease of use and reliability is therefore essential to reducing downtime and maintaining consistent quality.
When the results show in production
In a recent project, Thiele&Kor installed a Wemo automation system alongside an injection moulding machine. The result was higher production efficiency, more consistent product quality and reduced reliance on manual labour.
The customer also highlighted the smooth operation of the system and how quickly the investment began to deliver results.
“It’s a good example of what the right automation can achieve. The technology naturally must perform, but it also needs to be reliable and work smoothly in the customer’s day-to-day production.”
That also sums up much of what brings Thiele&Kor and Wemo together: a long-standing partnership built on a shared understanding of what automation should achieve – tangible value for the customer.
